Coeliac UK: Funding Available – Research Grants and Epidemiology Funding

coeliacCoeliac UK, the leading national charity for people with coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis, has launched a new round of their research grants award.

Coeliac disease (pronounced see-liac and spelled celiac in other countries) is a lifelong autoimmune disease that is caused by the immune system reacting to gluten.

The funder is looking for applications from researchers across a range of scientific disciplines that can demonstrate how their proposal will advance understanding of the disease and improve the lives of those living with the condition.

Funding of up to £100K is available for the research grant awards and the Closing date for applications: 5pm, 21st September 2015

There is also a further £30k for research into the epidemiology of coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis in the UK
