Alzheimer’s Society: Autumn Grant Round Details

Alz Society Logo Applications are open for the Alzheimer’s Society’s project grants, fellowships and PhD Studentship grants. The deadline for applications is Midday 18th September 2015.

Quick overview of the schemes and the funding available.

Project Grants: Fund up to £400K of direct costs over a 36 month period.  Project grants are for researcher led applications to enable world-class research in to the cause, cure, care or prevention of any form of dementia.

Fellowship Grants: Funds up to £225K (including the fellow’s salary) over a 36 month period. Junior Fellowships are for post-doctoral researchers who have shown exceptional promise at the start of their research career. Applicants should demonstrate potential to be an independent researcher.

Fellowships are open to researchers from all disciplines, health and care professions, in line with Alzheimer’s Society’s vision to increase capacity.

PhD Studentships: Funding of up to £85,000 is provided for up to three years and includes a stipend (£15,000-£16,000 per year), university PhD fees at EU rates, consumables & equipment, and conference dissemination support. Please note: Students must have at least a 2.1 degree.
