Survey on Confidence in the Welsh Education System

The Welsh Government wishes to commission research to inform and to monitor aspects of education policy. The research will involve contacting respondents of the National Survey for Wales who were willing to be re-contacted for further research to find out what they consider when asked to assess their ‘confidence’ in the Education system in Wales and how, if at all, it differs from what they think about when considering their ‘satisfaction’ with the Education system. It will also consider how parents support their children with education and what if any support they need to be able assist their child with their learning. The findings will help to identify the best way for the Welsh Government to assess confidence in the education system as well as provide evidence about the support that parents need to be able to assist their child with their learning. The research will need to take place over the next five months with the main findings being available by mid-March 2016.

Funding available: £20,000
