Flood Resilience for Disadvantaged Areas

Leave a comment

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation has funding for a project that aims to identify how flood resilience can be developed in communities which may be most disadvantaged by flooding in the UK, taking account of the future risks of climate change, as well as demographic and other social change and development. It aims to:

  • identify and characterise the communities at most flood disadvantage now and in the future across the UK;
  • assess the current levels of response and justice issues arising;
  • and identify options and recommendations for how flood resilience can be improved in these areas. These aims are further elaborated in the full call for proposals

Deadline for proposals: 18 November

Budget available: £75,000
