The Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum invites applications for two fellowships:
This in-residence fellowship offers pre- or postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to conduct research on aviation and space history.
Postdoctoral applicants should have received their PhD within the past seven years.
The fellowship supports periods between three and 12 months. Postdoctoral fellows may receive up to US$45,000 per year as a stipend.

A Verville Fellowship
This residential fellowship is intended for the analysis of major trends, developments, and accomplishments in the history of aviation or space studies.
Research may include the growth and impacts of aeronautics on society, the evolution of aircraft technology, and the development of air transport and military aviation.
The fellowship includes an annual stipend of US$55,000 and additional funds for travel and miscellaneous expenses. The fellowship is awarded for nine to 12 months.
