Wellcome Trust Awards and Fellowships

The Wellcome Trust invites applications for three distinct funding opportunities:

Collaborative awards in science

These support groups of independent researchers pursuing problems across the areas of science, humanities and social science and innovation.

Awards are normally worth up to £4 million over a period of up to five years. Funding may be used to cover research expenses, travel and subsistence, overseas allowances, research management and support costs.

Engagement fellowships

These aim to support and develop upcoming stars in public engagement with science.

Fellowships include salary and salary buyout for up to two years, project costs, training, access to office space and facilities, and opportunities to work with Wellcome Trust staff to develop projects.

The deadline for applications is 12 Feb 2016.

Capital funding for public engagement and medical history

This scheme provides capital funding for large-scale projects that support public engagement or medical history. Proposals will be considered for the funding of building, refurbishment and capital projects.

Awards are normally worth over £200,000.

The deadline for applications is 13 May 2016.
