The British Heart Foundation invites applications for four seperate funding opportunities:
This supports a long-term research programme where the principal investigator must be a senior researcher working in an established research institution in the UK, with a strong track record of project grant support and an internationally recognised research profile.
Special project grant
This funds research projects costing more than £300,000, except clinical studies.
New horizons grant
This encourages scientists from outside traditional cardiovascular biology to engage in cardiovascular research. Examples of such collaborations include cooperatives between biologists and engineers, physicists and mathematicians.
Small meeting funds
These support small UK-based meetings on focused areas of cardiovascular science. Proposed meetings should primarily aim to present state-of-the-art research talks from invited speakers or delegates to younger research workers.
There are no closing dates. Please submit the application when it is ready.
