Visitor Survey for the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority

The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority wishes to commission consultants to design, deliver and analyse data from a survey of the visitors to the Brecon Beacons National Park Area. The National Park Authority (NPA) has not undertaken such research since 2005 and at a time of increasing need for evidence based decision making the data from such a survey is now necessary. In addition, although a number of organizations: Visit Wales, Visit Britain, Brecon Beacons Tourism, Powys County Council and a number of projects, including Collabor8 and Rural Alliances, have conducted surveys of visitors using various methodologies and at varying scales, none of these provide enough data on where visitors actually go and what they do on their visit to the National Park. Due to the large percentage of day visitors to the National Park it is important to increase knowledge to aid in evidence based decision making.

Deadline for proposals: 9 December

Funding available: £24,000 – £26,000
