A reminder of tomorrow’s event here at MMU.
We are holding a Health Science Funding event 12.30-14.00pm, Friday 20th November, with the GM AHSN (Greater Manchester Academic Health Science Centre Network) regarding their Technology Innovation Challenge “Assistive Technologies – Reducing Social Isolation to support recovery, health and wellbeing” funding call.
The call is focused and prioritised towards devices that:
• Reduce social isolation within the ‘usual place of residence’ for the patient. This may be at home, in the community or a care home setting.
• Address isolation caused by one or more of the following conditions; dementia; mental health problems; learning difficulties; cognitive impairment (e.g. post stroke); and vascular disease.
Other conditions and disease areas may be considered.
The event is for MMU staff as well as colleagues from Salford University. SME representatives and Patient Advocates will also be in attendance.
The event will take place in 3.06 Business School, MMU All Saints Campus.
At the event you will find out about the new funding opportunity, future priorities for the GM AHSN and be able to learn more about GM AHSN funded projects. There will also be a chance to network with other attendees after the presentations between 12.30 – 14.00pm.
Refreshments will be provided.
Please email RKE-Events@mmu.ac.uk to register your attendance.
