Application of BIM within a Heritage Science Context

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the process of digitally representing the physical and functional characteristics of a building. Once derived, BIM enables the entire project team to collaborate, create and share a single source of data that assists design, construction, facilities and estate management, environmental control and performance, and other potential processes. The majority of current UK BIM application is focused on new build design and construction, as opposed to existing buildings. This project, funded by Historic England, aims to increase understanding on the application of BIM to historic structures and heritage science focused analysis.

Deadline for proposals: 25 February

Funding available: £20,000
