Exploring the Use of in-cab CCTV in the Rail Industry

The Rail Safety and Standards Board require research on the use of in-cab CCTV. The project will be delivered in two lots, undertaken in parallel. The aim of Lot 1 is to investigate how the GB rail industry could benefit from the use of in-cab CCTV and provide a sound understanding of how best to use in-cab CCTV. This intends to enable informed decision on the fitment of in-cab CCTV on new train and enable operators to make informed decision on existing rolling stock. The aim of Lot 2 is to investigate the human factors considerations in the use of in-cab CCTV.

Deadline for proposals: 24 March

Funding available: £100,000
