Train Braking Capability and Detection

The Rail Safety and Standards Board is seeking to understand the implications of distributed sanding and variable rate sanding for train braking capability in low adhesion conditions and the impact this will have on train detection using track circuits. The tender is split into two Lots: Braking Testing; Train Detection Testing.

Deadline for proposals: 6 April

Funding available: £300,000
