The aim of the project is to quantify the sensitivity, including the degree of habituation, of key bird species in Orkney and the Western Isles to relevant licenced marine activities during the non-breeding season. Specifically, the study will aim to review existing information and gather appropriate data on disturbance of species; and provide relevant and robust information on the sensitivity of key species to licensed activities to inform impact assessments, sectoral plans or other management activities.

Deadline for proposals: 21 April

Funding available: £120,000-150,000
