Disability Report: Secondary Analysis of Survey and Administrative Data

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has published a range of analysis of equality data, aimed to inform our equality and human rights measurement framework or specific policy initiatives. In October 2015, the Commission published a report entitled ‘Is Britain Fairer?’ (IBF), which reviewed progress towards greater equality and human rights protection in Britain. The report was based on ten evidence papers that drew on analysis of survey and administrative data as well as qualitative sources. The analysis examined differences between sub-groups with protected characteristics, change over time, and in England, Scotland and Wales. The resulting data tables are available for the ten domains. The Commission now require a secondary analysis of a range of data which will, together with other evidence, inform a Disability Report to be published later in 2016.

ESRC    This year, ESRC are separating the Large Grants from the Centres in this funding opportunity.

Instead of also including an invitation for Centres applications on an open basis , this time they have announced two calls for research centres in specific areas (to open in June).

The other call will aim to result in two Foundations of Inclusive Growth, with funding from the Global Challenges Research Fund. Each foundation will receive up to £5m over five years, and the deadline is expected to be 6 September.
