The Arts and Humanities Research Council is recruiting its first ever Creative Economy Champion, to help support the UK creative industry, shape its new creative economy strategy and foster new and exciting partnerships between the research community and businesses across the country.
The Creative Economy Champion, which will be a 3-year role, will help the AHRC to showcase the importance of the UK’s creative sector and the way in which research can support this rapidly growing part of the economy. As a successful leader within industry or academia, the AHRC Creative Economy Champion will cultivate and build connections across the research community and the business community.
There will also be time for the Creative Economy Champion to develop and grow a personal research agenda. This research would then contribute to the AHRC creative economy programme, helping to build on the focus around cross disciplinary working, collaboration with other Research Council and partnership working across academia, business and the voluntary sector.
Deadline for applications: 16 September 2016.
