Research on Public Libraries Contribution to Place-Making

Arts Council England is seeking to commission research into the current and potential contribution of public libraries to place-making. The project will provide evidence for national and local advocacy to policy makers, partners and funders. Arts Council England are seeking a consultant who will work with five public library authorities, identified in consultation with the Arts Council, to develop case studies which will be part of a final report the consultant will be required to deliver.

Deadline for proposals: 21 October

Funding available: £12,000

Future Technology Prediction Survey

This requirement is seeking to expand the buyer’s understanding of potential future technology trends by surveying university students’ predictions to: understand their insights into future technology trends and to better understand what drives them to utilise (or not) a given technology, and provide further insight into the more novel and harder to predict future technology trends.

Deadline for proposals: 28 October

Funding available: £12,500

Preparation for Decision Making in Complex & Chaotic Situations

The buyer wishes to commission research to better understand how to prepare and encourage more flexible, adaptive or agile thought processes in decision makers, to meet the challenge of decision making in complex and chaotic situations.

Deadline for proposals: 28 October

Funding available: £180,000
