The EPSRC invite applications for the following calls:

Feasibility Study in Energy Research

Funding supports feasibility studies which carry out underpinning science and engineering energy research within a topic within EPSRC’s Energy remit. In addition, proposals should review past and current activity and identify key research challenges that need to be addressed.

Funding available: £160,000

Deadline for applications: 6 Jan 17

New Approaches to Data Science

This call aims to support new approaches to data science driven by real world challenges, with projects undertaken in close collaboration by teams of researchers from the Mathematical Sciences and/or ICT, together with researchers in other disciplines and end-users.

Funding available: £2.5 M

Deadline for applications: 24 Jan 17

ICT Theme Early Career Workshops: Call for Expressions of Interest

These aim to provide an update to the council’s ICT strategies and policies, and guidance on applying for grants, covering topics such as impact from research, career development and new ICT theme priorities.

Underpinning Power Electronics 2016/17

EPSRC are looking to fund a balance of research from across relevant disciplines, to deliver high quality and adventurous research that will work through the CPE Hub to drive innovation and contribute to increasing the UK’s academic and industrial success in this field.

Healthcare Technologies Challenge Awards

These awards aim to develop new research capabilities to address unmet healthcare needs.

Funding available: £1 M

Intention to submit a proposal closing date: 15 Nov 16
