It’s that time again and British Academy/Leverhulme have just announced that applications to the Small Research Grants scheme will be open again from the 5th October 2018 with a closing deadline of the 7th November 2018.
With that in mind, RKE are holding two drop-in sessions on Fri 28th September, 10-11am (GM335), and Wed 10th October, 10-11am (GM303) for anyone considering an application to the scheme.
We’ll be available on those dates to answer any quick questions you might have and share some examples of successful applications, so please do come along.
These awards are up to £10,000 in value, tenable for up to 24 months, and are intended to cover the cost of expenses arising from a defined research project in the humanities or social sciences.
Full scheme details are listed here, https://www.britac.ac.uk/ba-leverhulme-small-research-grants; and a blog post from a successful applicant from the most recent round has some useful tips and bits of information if you’re considering putting an application together informationhttps://queerlinglang.wordpress.com/2018/09/11/reflections-on-applying-for-a-small-grant/.
All applications to this scheme will need Full Economic Costing so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org so that your Research Development Manager or Research Development Officer can provide assistance.
